          Thomas, Fowler have hair-raising Twitter battle

          Rickie Fowler is a young, talented PGA Tour champion with a full head of really cool hair. Justin Thomas is a young, talented PGA Tour champion with, well, not as much action on top of the ol' dome.

          It's that last part that prompted a tweet from Thomas on Thursday afternoon after getting a few of those hairs snipped off.

          Funny stuff? Absolutely. But the super sophomore, who recently won the CIMB Classic in Malaysia, must have known he'd be opening himself up to plenty of playful needling from his fellow pros.

          Enter Fowler.

          Topped by a 'do that makes fans swoon on a regular basis, Fowler provided a joking response to the original tweet and instantly heard back from Thomas.

          The real winner in this battle of wits? Neither of them.

          Instead, that honor belongs to the PGA Tour's official Twitter account, which altered its headshot of Thomas thusly:

          If you're scoring at home, that's a 1-up match victory for the PGA Tour, especially after Thomas conceded defeat.
