The Cincinnati Reds have placed outfielder Scott Schebler on the 10-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain.
The move was made before Tuesday night's game at Pittsburgh.
Outfielder Phillip Ervin was recalled from Triple-A Louisville to replace Schebler on the 25-man roster.
Schebler, who spent six seasons in the Dodgers organization after Los Angeles drafted him in the 26th round in 2010, is batting .228 with 23 home runs and 45 RBIs.
Ervin was batting .249 with seven home runs in 82 games with the Bats.
