A crossroads clash between legendary former middleweight champion Anderson Silva and rising star Israel Adesanya is the last-minute headline bout of UFC 234, which takes place Saturday in Melbourne, Australia. The main card is on pay-per-view, starting at 10 p.m. ET, with four prelims on ESPN/ESPN Deportes at 8 p.m. Early prelims begin at 7 on UFC Fight Pass.
The new main event replaces a middleweight championship bout between champion Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum, which was canceled on Saturday after Whittaker was hospitalized with a hernhia.
Stepping up from the co-main event slot is undefeated sensation Adesanya, a Nigerian who fights out of New Zealand, and longtime champ Silva (34-8).
