UFC 265 is headlined by an interim heavyweight championship fight between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane. Lewis has accomplished plenty since debuting in the UFC in 2014. He has knocked out 12 heavyweights -- most in the history of the division -- and tied for most knockouts all time in the UFC. He has wins over five of the top 11 contenders in the current UFC rankings. Lewis also holds a win over current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
On Saturday, Lewis looks to taste gold for the first time in his UFC career against Gane, And despite Gane having fewer career wins than Lewis has knockouts, Gane enters the main event as the favorite in the eyes of many, including the oddsmakers in Las Vegas.
Gane has won all six of his fights in the UFC, including big wins over Junior Dos Santos, Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alexander Volkov since December.
The main card will be on pay-per-view, which can be purchased here. The five-fight PPV card begins at 10 p.m. ET, and the action starts at 6 p.m. ET with early prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+. Prelims start at 8 p.m. ET, also on ESPN and ESPN+.
The winner of the main event of UFC 265 will become the first interim heavyweight champion since Fabricio Werdum defeated Mark Hunt in November 2014. He will also have the inside track to fight Ngannou.
