Best fits for the NFL draft's most intriguing prospects

Former Stanford star Christian McCaffrey has the route-running ability of a slot receiver and the vision as a runner to find daylight. He's a versatile weapon, a rising prospect with the talent to thrive in the modern game. Let's look at eight of the most intriguing draft prospects in this year's class and find a few NFL teams that would help them realize their potential in the pros.

Evan Engram, TE/H-Back, Ole Miss

Best pro fits: Cardinals, Broncos

At 6-foot-3, 234 pounds, Engram projects as a "move" tight end or an H-back in the NFL because he doesn't have the size of a traditional player at the position. But he's an elite athlete for that size (4.42 40), and it shows in his ability to separate at the top of the route. He fits in today's game as a matchup player and a tight end with a skill set similar to that of the Redskins' Jordan Reed. He finished with 65 receptions, 926 yards, eight touchdowns in 2016.

Engram can win underneath versus a linebacker or up the seam against a safety. Plus, when he's in the red zone, his ability to align removed from the core of the formation will give the offense multiple options in the passing game. Engram would be a really good fit for Bruce Arians' system in Arizona as a vertical target who can work inside of the numbers. He has the ability to make explosive plays for a team that wants to stretch the field.
