Giants' Ereck Flowers apologizes to reporter for locker room incident

Giants offensive tackle Ereck Flowers apologized to an ESPN reporter Monday for a locker room incident following Sunday night's loss to the Packers.

While speaking to reporters in front of his locker after the Giants' 23-16 loss Sunday, Flowers told reporter Jordan Raanan to stay away, then pushed him in the chest. At that point, Raanan left the area.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the NFL is looking into the incident, according to sources.

McAdoo said that he, GM Jerry Reese and a member of the media relations department spoke to Flowers about the incident on Monday.

"All discipline will be handled in-house," coach Ben McAdoo said Monday.

"He understands that he cannot behave that way," McAdoo said. "It's unacceptable and it's important for us all to have a professional relationship with the media."

Flowers was the Giants' first-round draft pick in 2015. On Sunday, he allowed a sack and was penalized for holding.
