The Jacksonville Jaguars tied the game at 7 early in the first quarter thanks to a play call by Doug Pederson that caught the Kansas City Chiefs in a bad matchup.

Pederson had receiver Christian Kirk line up in the backfield to the right of Trevor Lawrence on second-and-9 from the 10-yard line.

Kirk ran a simple wheel route but because he was in the backfield, defensive end George Karlaftis was in coverage.

Kirk easily got a step on Karlaftis and Lawrence dropped the throw in over Karlaftis' shoulder for the touchdown.

Early in the fourth quarter, Travis Etienne Jr. ran four yards for a touchdown, trimming the Chiefs' lead to just three.
