DT DaQuan Jones returning to Bills on 2-year, $16M deal

Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones is re-signing with the Buffalo Bills on a two-year deal worth $16 million, according to his agency, Athlete's First.

The deal includes $10.5 million guaranteed.

"WE BACK!!!!!" Jones posted on X, with the hashtag #GoBills.

With Jones returning, he joins Ed Oliver and Eli Ankou, who spent much of last season on the team's practice squad, as the only defensive tackles under contract for 2024.

Jones signed a two-year deal with the Bills before the 2022 season, and he proved to be a valuable contributor alongside Oliver on the team's defensive line while starting 16 regular-season games. His 2023 season, however, was cut short due to a pectoral injury suffered in Week 5.

Jones was able to return from injured reserve for the last two regular-season games and the playoffs, and his impact on the field was noticeable. He finished the season with 2.5 sacks.

During his time in Buffalo, Jones, who turned 32 in December, led the team in run block win rate (42.1%) and recorded 54 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Jones was a 2014 fourth-round draft choice of the Tennessee Titans, with whom he played for seven seasons. He also played one season for the Carolina Panthers before joining the Bills. He has started 133 of the 139 games he's played during his career, and he has 327 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries.
