Sources: Jaguars WR Christian Kirk has broken collarbone

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Christian Kirk is expected to miss the rest of the season with a broken collarbone, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Kirk was hurt early in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars' 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at EverBank Stadium when he landed on his left shoulder while trying to catch a deep pass from Trevor Lawrence. The receiver left the field supporting his left arm and was wearing a sling after the game.

He has 27 catches for 379 yards and one touchdown and was averaging a career-best 14 yards per catch. Kirk is in the third year of four-year, $72 million contract ($37 million guaranteed) signed in March 2022 and will make $14.5 million this season. It's the second consecutive year in which his season has been cut short by injury. He missed the final five games of 2023 with a groin injury.

Kirk has caught 168 passes for 2,274 yards and 12 touchdowns in his two-plus seasons with the Jaguars. That includes 84 passes for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns -- all career highs -- in 2022.
