GLENDALE, Ariz. - Arizona Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams was in the right place at the right time. And that just happened to be the end zone.
On second-and-3 from the Patriots 8 with 1:31 left in the first quarter, wide receiver Greg Dortch took a handoff from quarterback Kyler Murray going to the left. Dortch weaved his way toward the end zone but fumbled just before crossing the goal line.
Enter Williams, the Cadinals' 6-foot-5, 312-pound anchor on the right side of the offensive line. He fell on the football in the back of the end zone, and after a brief conference, the officials ruled it a touchdown that put Arizona up 10-0.
Williams is the first Cardinals OL to score a TD since Levi Brown scored one in Week 5 of 2010 vs the Saints.
