After testing the Premier Lacrosse League's player movement period, legendary attackman Rob Pannell is signing with the Maryland Whipsnakes.
Pannell, 35, is an 11-time All-Star, one-time MVP (2018), two-time offensive player of the year (2016, 2018) and two-time world champion with the U.S. men's national team.
The winner of the 2013 Tewaaraton Award as college lacrosse's top player when at Cornell, Pannell is near the top of the career leaderboard in a number of categories:
Third in career points (611), one of just three pro lacrosse players to hit 600 career points alongside Paul Rabil (657) and John Grant Jr. (643)
Second in career assists (287), behind Ryan Boyle (292)
Third in career one-point goals (320), and fourth in total goals (includes two-point goals, at 322)
Watching him in college, playing with him in the pros, @RobPannell3 has always been a man on a mission. I respect the hell out of his compete level. And care for the game. Now with Stags and the Maryland Whips, RP3 continues. @espn @timjkavanagh https://t.co/F8Tj0R5ikB
