David Swallow is the last remaining inaugural Suns player left at the AFL club after Gold Coast told Sam Day he won't be offered a new deal for 2025.
Day, who was taken with pick No.3 at the 2010 national draft, kicked 117 goals across 155 games for Gold Coast, placing him sixth on the club's goalkicking list.
The key forward kicked 10 goals across five games this season and also averages five marks and five score involvements per match.
But that return wasn't enough to save him with coach Damien Hardwick making the big call to move Day on.
Gold Coast say Day will now "explore further opportunities in his football career".
The Suns also delisted Darcy Macpherson, James Tsitas, Jack Mahony, Sandy Brock, Oskar Faulkhead and Will Rowlands earlier this week.
Day's departure leaves Swallow, a 31-year-old veteran of 240 AFL games, as the last remaining inaugural Sun still at the club.
Swallow's current deal has run out, but it's expected he will be offered a one-year extension.
Day turns 32 on Friday, but he hasn't totally given up on continuing his career elsewhere.
"While I am disappointed to be finishing my time with the Suns, I am grateful for everything I have been able to achieve in my football career and the relationships I have made along the way," Day said in a statement.
"It's been a challenging journey at times, but I wouldn't change it for anything and know those setbacks have helped shape the person I am today."
Day sits fifth on Gold Coast's all-time games played list, a significant achievement after overcoming a potentially career-ending hip injury in 2017, and numerous other long-term injuries.
"Sam has been a champion of this football club since the very beginning and it is important we recognise the significance of his career at the Suns," Gold Coast's general manager of football Wayne Campbell said.
"His resilience to fight through injuries throughout his career has been commendable and he has been a valuable mentor for our young and emerging key forwards over the years."
