Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser is the latest Fil-foreigner set to see action in the inaugural PBA 3x3 season after coming to terms with the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
The development, first reported by Manila Bulletin, was confirmed by team manager Paolo Bugia on Friday.
"We have agreed in principle. He just arrived and is undergoing quarantine procedures. So far he is our first signing," Bugia said in a text message.
Rosser, 26, was one of 11 players deemed ineligible by the league for the 46th Season Rookie Draft after failing to submit the pertinent documents, namely the Certificate of Recognition from the Bureau of Immigration and the Affirmation from the Department of Justice.
Two of his former Alab Pilipinas teammates in Jason Brickman and Jeremiah Gray ran into the same problems and have already signed with Meralco and TNT, respectively, for the 3x3 league.
Brandon, the brother of Terrafirma wingman Matt, last saw action with Alab in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) in the 2019 season and averaged 4.9 points on 42.4 percent shooting and 2.5 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game. He saw action for the UC Riverside Highlanders in the U.S. NCAA Division 1, a team now coached by Fil-American Mike Magpayo.
The 3x3 tournament will be played on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be three conferences; each will have six legs and one grand finals for 16 participating teams.
