OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens running back Danny Woodhead is at full strength after dealing with a hamstring injury for most of the season, coach John Harbaugh said on Saturday.
After missing eight games, Woodhead returned off injured reserve in this past Sunday's 23-0 win over the Green Bay Packers, finishing with five catches for 21 yards in a limited role.
"I don't think we have to measure his reps too much," Harbaugh said. "He looks good, and we'll play him as much as we can, or as much as the situations merit."
Woodhead was limited to 13 snaps in his first game back. But he was a focal point a majority of the time he stepped on the field, getting targeted six times and running the ball once.
"I thought he helped us, certainly," offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said. "I wanted to get him going just a little bit, and virtually the whole second half was a little bit more situational. If it was more of normal circumstances, he would have played a little bit more, yes, but not much more. As we go here, we can do that. We can utilize him just a little bit more."
Woodhead is facing a potential bad matchup on Monday Night Football. The Texans have allowed the fourth-fewest receiving yards to running backs this season (an average of 33.4 yards per game) and have given up three passing touchdowns to running backs.
"I felt really good out there," Woodhead said. "It was fun to play football again."
