ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ezekiel Ansah has been dealing with injuries all season. Now, it might cost him a game.

Ansah was officially ruled doubtful by the Detroit Lions with a back injury on Friday in advance of this Sunday’s game against Cleveland. It’s the first week he’s been listed with a back injury after spending all season on the injury report with a knee injury.

The 28-year-old has been on every injury report of the season, practicing either on a limited basis or not at all with the knee injury, but playing every Sunday. He has 18 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery this season.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell wouldn’t answer whether or not Ansah’s knee injury has healed -- he was listed this week only with a back injury.

“I would say to you, I would believe what you’re reading,” Caldwell said. “So, whatever you see on the report is kind of what I would say that you should follow. I’m not going to add to it or detract from it.”

If Ansah does not play -- and doubtful means he’s unlikely to -- expect more of Cornelius Washington and Jeremiah Valoaga in the lineup opposite Anthony Zettel.

Besides Ansah, the Lions have officially ruled two players out: right guard T.J. Lang (concussion) and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin(ankle). Lang suffered the concussion last week, became ill during Wednesday’s practice and missed Thursday and Friday. Reeves-Maybin did not practice all week.

Either Emmett Cleary or Don Barclay is expected to replace Lang at guard. Paul Worrilow will likely take Reeves-Maybin’s place in certain base defensive packages.

Wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) and safety Don Carey (knee) are questionable.
