GREEN BAY, Wis. -- A look at the Green Bay Packers players who were "up" and those who were "down" in Sunday's 28-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field:

UP

RB Eddie Lacy: If there were a blueprint for how to respond to a demotion, the third-year running back followed it perfectly. A week after he was disciplined by coach Mike McCarthy for missing curfew on the eve of the game in Detroit, Lacy got his starting job back and produced in a big away with a season-high 124 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown. Afterward, Lacy admitted his demotion may have been a wakeup call. "It just showed me that's not what I want," he said. "And by him giving me a chance to come out and redeem myself, I think it was just a blessing in disguise."

RB James Starks: He has always been more effective in a secondary role and with Lacy back in the groove, Starks added 71 yards on 11 carries. He had one rushing touchdown and one receiving.

WR Jeff Janis: The receiver once again had no role on offense, but he made his mark on special teams. He used his speed to his advantage on punt coverage, making three tackles (including a pair of solo stops). All three of them were tackles for losses of 2 yards.

DOWN

Run defenders: Shaky run defense allowed Cowboys running back Darren McFadden to break off two long runs -- a 50-yarder in the first quarter and a 45-yarder in the third. Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix whiffed on McFadden's first long run at the line of scrimmage, and then he broke through a hole on the second. They accounted for most of McFadden's 111 yards on nine carries.

TE Richard Rodgers: Through no fault of his own, the hero of last week's win over the Detroit Lions caught only one pass for 3 yards. He was targeted only twice in a limited role because fullback John Kuhn's snaps went way up. Coach Mike McCarthy was clearly intent on running the ball and wanted to use a two-back set while still sticking with his base three receivers.

WR Davante Adams: Although Randall Cobb (eight catches for 81 yards) and James Jones (four catches for 49 yards) made plays, the third receiver didn't do much. Adams caught just two passes for 12 yards. The offense could use some more plays from him.
