Half a haircut? Chiefs center Daniel Kilgore posts hilarious 'profile pic'

You have to look sharp before playing in a Super Bowl. Kansas City Chiefs backup center Daniel Kilgore was sitting in his barber's chair Sunday while 20 other players and staff members were waiting their turn -- including quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

That's when the Chiefs pulled the barber once his positive COVID-19 test result came in, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. A source initially had told ESPN that Kilgore was mid-haircut when the barber was pulled.

Kilgore had some fun with it, taking to social media to show off his "#newprofilepic."

In reality, Kilgore and the barber both were wearing masks and because Kilgore was deemed a close contact, he told the barber to finish the cut.

The Chiefs on Monday placed Kilgore and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson on the reserve/COVID-19 list after they were considered to be close contacts. But they can return to play in Super Bowl LV on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they test negative for five consecutive days.
