MINNEAPOLIS -- In the midst of his own recovery from a devastating knee injury, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater sent tweets of encouragement to Houston Texans rookie QB Deshaun Watson, who tore an ACL during practice on Thursday.
Watson suffered a noncontact injury to the knee, which is the same manner in which Bridgewater went down in practice at the end of the preseason in August 2016. Bridgewater dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments, including the ACL.
“Been overcoming adversity your entire life & never lost faith once. The battle is already won, claim ur victory, born winner. @deshaunwatson,” one of three tweets read.
Damn @deshaunwatson this one hurt 🙏🏾. You'll be back better than ever young 💯.

The Pro Bowl quarterback knows firsthand the road Watson will soon embark upon in his road to recovery. What was likely a Rookie of the Year campaign ends at the halfway point of the season as Watson will undergo season-ending surgery, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
