Patriots' extra-point proposal will be voted on next week

The New England Patriots' proposal to change the extra point will be voted on at the NFL's spring meeting next week in San Francisco.

The proposal calls for the the line of scrimmage to be the 15-yard line for the extra point. A team also has the option to place the ball at the 2-yard line for a two-point conversion try.

A team's choice is not final and is subject to change following a timeout or penalty.

There are two other proposals to alter the extra point that are similar, one from the NFL's competition committee and the other from the Philadelphia Eagles.
