McDonald's players to watch

The McDonald's All American Game (9:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday on ESPN and WatchESPN) in Chicago will feature 25 of the best senior boys high school basketball players in the country. Each player is elite, but who are the prospects to keep an extra-close eye on? To help answer that question, we've ranked the top 10 players to watch in the McDonald's game.

1. Julius Randle, PF, Kentucky
Randle was out of action for most of his senior season due to a stress fracture in his foot, but he made his way back by the end of the season to win a state championship. In fact, he was not originally on the McDonald's roster due to the injury and was added later once he returned to health. He is the most physically imposing player (6-foot-9, 225 pounds) in the game with his explosiveness, power and strength. Along with his physical tools, he possesses an ability to score and rebound below the free throw line. Speaking of which, his relentless style also creates fouls with his high-post short baseline attacks and while crashing the offensive glass for second-chance points. This left-handed monster also will grab a defensive board and use a bust-out dribble to go coast to coast. Once in motion, he is hard to stop -- opponents can only hope to slow or foul him. Being away from the sport he loves during his senior season was extremely hard, but he handled it with maturity. The adversity has given him a newfound patience and gratefulness for the game.
