Maurizio Arrivabene says Ferrari will not prevent its drivers racing each other despite Sebastian Vettel's big points advantage over Kimi Raikkonen in the championship.
Vettel's currently sits third in the standings, 43 points behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton, and has 36 points more than Raikkonen going into the eighth race of 2015. Raikkonen finished ahead of Vettel in Canada as the German recovered from 18th to cross in fifth.
Ferrari has not won since Vettel's unexpected victory in China and his current haul makes him the most likely man to take the championship fight to Mercedes if Ferrari can significantly close the gap.
Asked if there was any consideration to moving Raikkonen over so Vettel could collect more points in Canada, Arrivabene replied: "No. We don't even have that discussion. What we've said is clear since the start of the year, we are colleagues, they have rules of engagement that are quite clear."
Arrivabene said the policy will remain the same until Vettel or Raikkonen no longer has a mathematical chance of winning the world championship.
"They are team-mates until the number does not give them a chance, then the other one is free to go. On top of everything is the interest of the team. They can do whatever they want, apart from crashing the car - they are going to have a problem with me in this case."
