Max Verstappen has entered the world of virtual racing after joining top simracing team Redline to complement his Formula One duties with Toro Rosso.

Redline is one of the top simracing teams in the world and has added Verstappen to its ranks so the 17-year-old can "practice and remain at the top of his game" for F1. Verstappen is the youngest man to ever race in the sport and scored a career-high fourth-place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend.

"I enjoy simracing outside of Formula One," Verstappen said. "I've been working with [Redline team boss] Atze [Kerkhof] for a while already and of course with Team Redline and Fanatec I'll be sharing the virtual track with the fastest simracers in the world which is a great test and the way I like it!"

Earlier this week Verstappen shared a picture of his simracing set-up on Instagram.

Game on 😏 who wouldn't want this?! #playseat #redbull #F1
