Celis to drive two days for Force India at opening test

Force India

Alfonso Celis will drive the new Force India car on two of the opening four days of testing, while regular race drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg will get a day each at the Circuit de Catalunya next week.

Celis is Force India's development driver and as part of his deal with the team has secured track time at half of the opening test. The 19-year-old Mexican drove last year's car at the season-ending Pirelli tyre test and is due to take part in seven Friday practice sessions this season.

Hulkenberg and Perez will alternate driving duties at the second test, which will also take place at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Celis finished 12th in the GP3 championship last year and 16th in Formula Renault 3.5.
