Sebastian Vettel unfazed by recent Ferrari issues

Sebastian Vettel is "not concerned" by Ferrari's spate of problems in testing and believes time is on the team's side ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

Vettel's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen has had three consecutive days of limited running after hitting different problems, raising questions about the team's reliability.

Asked if he was worried, Vettel replied: "Not concerned. These things you don't want them to happen, but if they happen here it is not a problem. If they happen in a couple of weeks it is a bit worse, but it is not an issue. In the test you take the time to look but it takes time."

Vettel enjoyed a better day behind the wheel on Wednesday and was on course for a healthy haul of laps. The Ferrari driver says the team is content with how testing has gone for far.

"I think we are on our plan. We have had some days where we would have liked to run a bit more but that is what the test is for. We are pretty happy with where we are."

Asked about Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne's repeated predictions about a front row slot in Melbourne, he replied: "We will push and try everything we have, I think he said it a couple of times so at least he is consistent."
