Poor starts, embarrassing nicknames and some sarcastic laughter ... it can only be the Monza edition of Radio Ga Ga
"Don't worry about the start, it was my fault."
Lewis Hamilton takes the blame for his shocking getaway at the start of the Italian Grand Prix, but later said he made the radio call to keep his engineers calm. By the time he reached his post-race media briefing he was blaming an inconsistent clutch.
"The traffic lights didn't work! F-----g traffic lights! F---!"
We've all been there, waiting for the traffic lights to change when you know it should be your turn to go. Fernando Alonso vents his frustration to the McLaren pit wall.
"The rears are pretty wasted already."
Overtaking Valtteri Bottas takes its toll on Hamilton's rear tyres as the Mercedes driver makes up for his poor start.
"Is there two Toro Rossos or just one? ... Because I just passed one." It's like London buses, you wait for ages to catch a Toro Rosso and two come a long at once.
McLaren engineer Mark Temple: "Do you still prefer Plan A?"
Fernando Alonso: "Well, I don't know what you mean. We are blistered with this tyre, imagine with the other one. The real question is to go to between Plan B and Plan C!"
We assume Plan D would be to just park the McLaren at the side of the track...
"So, Ricciardo is slowly catching us. However, he's got double the deg that we have on his quali tyre, so we're looking good."
The Williams pit wall didn't bank on Daniel Ricciardo pulling one of the best overtaking moves of the season on Valtteri Bottas at Turn 1. Sorry Valtteri!
McLaren engineer Mark Temple: "You need to keep your pace up because Grosjean might come back to us...
Fernando Alonso: "Hahaha!"
It's fair to say Fernando Alonso does not agree with his engineer's assessment with the situation.
Mercedes engineer Tony Ross: "Haroo! Excellent job, really good job on that first stint, Nicola!"
Nico Rosberg: "Thank you very much, Thomas, thank you very much. Awesome guys, thank you very much. It's great to win here in Italy."
Rosberg was called Britney (as in Spears) by his former teammate Mark Webber, but we've never heard Nicola before. And now apparently Tony Ross is now known as Thomas ...
