Mercedes has released teaser shots of its 2017 car, the W08, a day before its launch at Silverstone.
The world champions released the images on Wednesday morning, just hours before Force India's scheduled car launch at the British circuit. The W08 will be tasked with defending the drivers' and constructors' championships won for three consecutive years.
The images do not mark a significant departure from previous livery designs, though the car does feature a round nose end -- a contrast to the stubbed end seen on the Williams, Sauber and Renault cars already unveiled for 2017.
Mercedes has admitted it is wary of the sweeping regulation changes prompting a dramatic reshuffle of the pecking order, which it has dominated since the introduction of V6 turbos in 2014. The new regulations have prompted the design of faster and wider cars which are expected to dramatically cut lap times for the upcoming season.
