McLaren's orange and black MCL32 has hit the track for the first time in 2017 at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya as part of a filming day.
Following its much-anticipated unveiling on Friday, the car emerged from the Barcelona garage with Fernando Alonso at the wheel.
The filming day [one of two every team is allocated per season] is an opportunity to gather promotional shots of the new car before testing officially begins on Monday morning.
The team tweeted a video of Alonso departing the garage for the first time and blasting down the pit lane towards Turn 1.

McLaren also gave a proper shot of the MCL32 in action, the first time the striking orange and black livery has been photographed on a race circuit. The tweet referenced the shark fin, a characteristic of the 2017 cars, and McLaren's radical front wing design.

Haas and Renault also used the weekend to complete filming days of their own new challengers. The Haas car is yet to be officially unveiled, with the team set to take the covers off in the pit lane on Sunday evening.
