Before setting your lineups for this week's Premier League action, here is a preview of three of the most notable games from a fantasy perspective.
Liverpool vs. Fulham
Liverpool have struggled as of late, going 3-3-3 in its last nine games, notably losing 2-0 to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
Who better to get back on track against than the leakiest defense in the Premier League? Fulham have not kept a clean sheet this season and have allowed the joint-most goals in a Premier League season through 11 games at 29 (2012-13 Southampton).
Fulham have allowed the second-most shots on goal (68) and have the worst save percentage in the Premier League at 56.5. Only Burnley (77) have allowed more shots on goal this season.
Liverpool have taken 158 shots this season, fifth-most in the Premier League. Notably, Mohamed Salah has taken the second-most shots with 43 (Agüero, 51). He is also in the top 10 in chances created (24). Surprisingly, he has 44 ball recoveries, a stat you receive points for! Only Theo Walcott (49) has more recoveries among forwards.
Also, look at any Liverpool defender and goalkeeper Alisson to fill out your roster.
Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton
Arsenal are currently in a 14-game unbeaten streak, including nine straight in the Premier League.
Players like Mesut Özil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Héctor Bellerín are all options to have solid games against Wolves. Aubameyang is tied for the league lead in goals with seven for the season, Bellerín has four assists (tied for third-most) and Özil is a constant threat in his new role under Emery.
Özil has 18 chances created, which leads the team, and has scored with all three shots on target he's had this season. In addition, Arsenal have outscored their opponents 20-7 at home during this unbeaten streak.
Southampton vs. Watford
Here is your match to fill out the Tier 2s and 3s in your lineup.
Southampton have allowed 20 goals so far this season, one of five Premier League teams to do so. Watford have scored 16 goals, including goals in 8 of their 11 league matches.
Roberto Pereyra remains one of the most influential Watford players, leading the team in shots (20) and goals (5). He has 72 ball recoveries and has created 12 scoring opportunities.
On the other side, Southampton have taken 160 shots as a team, fourth-most in the Premier League. While the Saints have not turned those into goals, you get the points either way. Danny Ings has taken 33 shots and scored four of Southampton's seven goals. Nathan Redmond and Mario Lemina are both worthy of consideration, as both have also taken at least 15 shots each while having 50 or more ball recoveries.
