Ronaldo's 500, De Gea's 400 and Pedri's 10: Stats

The weekend's football action continued to create headlines with Premier League table-toppers Arsenal dropping points against Brentford while Manchester City and Manchester United secured impressive victories against Aston Villa and Leeds United respectively. In LaLiga, Barcelona extended their lead at the top with a win over Villarreal. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, who were in action at the Club World Cup, won the tournament with a 5-3 goal-fest in the final against Al-Hilal.

In Serie A, Napoli didn't face much trouble as they won their match against Cremonese. Over in Germany, Bayern Munich, Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund won their respective matches, occupying the top three places in the Bundesliga table. In Ligue 1, Lionel Messi-less PSG lost their match against Monaco while second-placed Marseille secured yet another away win.
