Barcelona eye Glen Johnson, Henrikh Mkhitaryan to leave United?

The transfer window might be shut, but don't think the wheeling and dealing won't continue! Check out all the latest deals here.

Barcelona track Johnson

With Aleix Vidal's future looking increasingly uncertain at Barcelona, the club are in the market for a veteran right-back in January. And, so say Mundo Deportivo, Stoke and England defender Glen Johnson is on their list.

Johnson sent tongues wagging when he was called up by England boss Gareth Southgate before pulling out of the squad through injury and is apparently viewed as a "low cost" option to play backup to Sergi Roberto.

The former Liverpool defender is currently injured which may present a problem, but given that the other names on the Barca list are reportedly Shakhtar Donetsk's 34-year-old Darijo Srna and Juventus outcast Stephan Lichtsteiner, 32, perhaps Johnson will end up plying his trade at the Camp Nou after all given that most other available defenders are cup-tied in the Champions League.

Mourinho giving up on Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrived at Manchester United with much excitement: a £30 million price tag and the Bundesliga Player of the Year, but the Sun believes that after just six months, Jose Mourinho is prepared to cash-in on the Armenian.

The Red Devils boss has handed the 27-year-old just one start since he transferred from Borussia Dortmund with a dramatic exit in January now being floated.

It would represent one of the most drastic declines for a top class player in recent memory with a host of clubs likely to form a less-than-orderly queue as one of the most gifted playmakers in Europe becomes available in the market.

Leicester to swoop for Inter star Gabigol

On to another player that only joined his club this summer.

Gabriel Barbosa was one of the transfer window's most eye-catching signings as Inter Milan beat out Barcelona for the former Santos starlet, but Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Leicester have moved for the Brazilian.

The Foxes made enquiries for the Brazil international and could persuade the Nerazzurri to sell the 20-year-old after his lack of playing time under Dutch manager Frank de Boer this term.

The report suggests Chelsea could also join the hunt to relocate Gabigol just six months after his £25 million move, though Claudio Ranieri could offer more regular playing time.

Man City told to pay €80m for Dortmund superstar

Borussia Dortmund will demand Manchester City and Real Madrid pay €80 million for their superstar striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, says German newspaper Bild.

The report states that City bid €65 million last summer but received a firm "no," and that if they are to return in January or next summer, Pep Guardiola's club must up their offer.

The Gabon international dreams of playing for the European Champions, yet City are likely to have a small window to jump ahead in the race due to the current transfer ban -- which Los Merengues are in the midst of appealing.

Witsel to Juventus begins to fall into place

Juventus could add a top class midfielder in time for a run at the Champions League, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, as Zenit Saint Petersburg are lining up his replacement.

Zenit boss Mircea Lucescu wants Rostov's Cristian Noboa and, should the Ecuadorian arrive, Axel Witsel's move to Turin could finally materialise.

The Russian club dug their heals in the summer as Juve targeted the Belgian as Paul Pogba's replacement, but a January move is now looking probable and the prospect of a sensational midfield trio alongside Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira.

Tap-ins

- Bayern Munich are finally ready to announce Robert Lewandowski's new contract after eight months of negotiations, report Bild.

The Polish forward will put pen to paper on a five-year, €10 million-per-season deal, while Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben's extensions are also set to be announced on Nov. 25 at the club's AGM.

- Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping tabs on "the next Ibrahimovic," according to the Sun, with both clubs monitoring Swedish youngster Alexander Isak.

They are not alone though, as the report divulges that a staggering 90 clubs watched the 17-year-old striker last weekend, with Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Real Madrid having paid a visit to AIK Solna this season.
