The 26-year-old, who can also operate at centre-half, joins on a two-year deal after spending three seasons in the Turkish capital, during which time he won one Super Lig title and the Super Kupa on two occasions.
"With Ceyhun Gulselam we have undertaken for the No. 6 [defensive midfield] position a player who brings the experience of over 100 top flight games in Turkey," sporting director Dirk Dufner told the club's official website.
"He also played for the Turkish national team and for Galatasaray in the Champions League."
Gulslam spent eight years in the youth system at Bayern Munich but came to prominence at Trabzonspor, where he won the first of his six Turkey caps, earning himself a move to Gala in 2011.
