SAINT-ETIENNE, France -- France goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier has signed a new three-year deal with Saint-Etienne that will keep him at the Ligue 1 club until 2018.

Ruffier was part of the France team for the World Cup in Brazil this summer after being called up as a cover for the injured Steve Mandanda.
The 27-year-old Ruffier sats, "I'm very proud to continue the adventure with Saint-Etienne, in a stable environment. We keep progressing together and this year's Europa League matches will be very important."
Saint-Etienne qualified for the Europa League in a group featuring Inter Milan.
