Bordeaux have opened the door for Yoann Gourcuff to return to the club he inspired to the Ligue 1 title.
Gourcuff, 28, is out of contract with Lyon at the end of the month and will end a five-year injury-blighted spell at the Stade de Gerland.
Despite failing to meet expectations at OL, the glowing reputation he established in two years at Bordeaux, where he won the French title in 2008/09, remains intact.
But the midfielder's lawyer, Didier Poulmaire, told football365.fr that Gourcuff will take his time to study his options. says there is no rush to make a decision, and it is far from certain he will opt to return to Bordeaux.
"We've received several approaches from clubs wanting to sign him, Poulmaire said. "But he now wants to take the time to really analyse these offers.
"There's no hurry either. He's at a turning point in his career, so it's important for him to really think over what he's going to do."
Nicolas de Tavernost, president of M6, the TV company that owns Bordeaux, told RMC that Gourcuff would be welcome back in the south west.
"We remained on good terms. I think he flourished at Bordeaux. If he wants to come back, he knows [president] Jean-Louis Triaud's phone number," said De Tavernost. "If there is a chance Yoann Gourcuff will play at Bordeaux, of course we'll look at it.
"I think he was happy at Bordeaux, and that must come into his thinking. Will he come? Won't he come? In any case, I think our coach would be happy if he came. If he wants to come, we'll talk. It's clear he's appreciated at Bordeaux. We owe him a lot."
Gourcuff has also been courted by Rennes, the club where he started his career before moving as a youngster to AC Milan.
