Hernanes in Turin for Juventus medical as deal nears

Brazil international Hernanes' move from Inter Milan to Juventus has moved a step closer to completion, with the former Sao Paulo man arriving in Turin for a medical on Monday evening.

The Bianconeri posted a Tweet of the 30-year-old arriving for his medical with just under an hour before the closure of Italy's summer transfer window. They have already agreed terms with Inter on a transfer worth €11 million.

The former Lazio attacking midfielder became a Juve target at the weekend, after an attempt to sign Julian Draxler from Schalke failed. He is set to sign a three-year contract upon successfully passing his medical.

"Yes, it's practically all done -- Hernanes is a Juventus player," said Juve's general manager Beppe Marotta to fcinternews.it. "He's moving to Turin for €11 million."

His place in the Inter squad is set to be taken by Adem Ljajic, who became a late target after attempts to sign Eder from Sampdoria broke down. The Roma forward could also be joined by Felipe Melo, whose father has revealed on Instagram that his son is leaving the Turkish club to join the Nerazzurri.
