Felipe Melo, Adem Ljajic and Alex Telles complete Inter Milan moves

Inter Milan have announced the captures of Felipe Melo, Adem Ljajic and Alex Telles just minutes before the Italian transfer window closed on Monday.

The 32-year-old former Brazil international Melo, who left Juventus for Galatasaray in 2011 after a lengthy stint in Serie A, joins the club on a permanent basis.

Serbian attacking midfielder Ljajic, who comes from Roma, and Brazilian left-back Telles, who comes from Galatasaray, have signed on a season-long loan deal with an option on a permanent switch next summer.

The Nerazzurri announced the deals just two minutes before the Italian transfer window closed.

"I'm sure that Felipe Melo will further strengthen our midfield options with his physical prowess and battling qualities. Roberto Mancini knows him very well and will be able to harness his technical ability, combative spirit and experience," Inter president Erick Thohir said of the trio of signings.

"Telles will add quality and youth to our side. He's a young, pacy full-back -- a good fit for our squad -- and he'll be able to lend us a big hand with his offensive and defensive ability.

"Ljajić knows Serie A very well and that will help him slot into our squad easily. With his attacking skills and determined approach, he has what it takes to perform at the highest level and I'm sure he will do that at Inter."

Argentina-born winger Ezequiel Schelotto, meanwhile, has had his contract rescinded and leaves Milan.
