1. Luis Suarez (Barcelona)
On the day Barcelona needed a result in order to secure their 24th La Liga crown, Suarez came up trumps once again. The Uruguayan delivered a hat trick in the Catalans' 3-0 win over Granada, a result that ensured Barca pipped Real Madrid to the title, and his treble took his league goals total to 40 -- a number only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have ever achieved -- good enough to win the Pichichi race.
2. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)
Higuain proved similarly decisive on Saturday. The Argentine's hat trick took his 2015-16 Serie A total to 36 goals, breaking Gunnar Nordahl's single-season scoring record set in 1950. Napoli's No. 9 led the Neapolitans to a 4-0 win over Frosinone, ensuring they finished second in the league, fending off Roma's charge for Italy's last automatic qualification place for next season's Champions League group stage.
3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint-Germain)
Ibrahimovic bid adieu to the Parc des Princes in fine style. The Swede netted a brace in his final match at PSG's home on Saturday, defeating Nantes 4-0. That took him to 38 Ligue 1 goals this season, eclipsing the single-season club record set by Carlos Bianchi in 1978. Ibrahimovic likely will play his final match for the club on Saturday, when PSG meet Marseille in the Coupe de France final.
4. Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)
On what was likely his farewell appearance at the Allianz Arena as a Bayern player, Gotze scored twice in the Bavarians' 3-1 win over Hannover on Saturday. The tallies were the World Cup winner's first since October, when he struck against former side Borussia Dortmund. Could he be similarly effective when the pair meet in Saturday's DFB-Pokal final?
5. Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)
Prior to last week, Giroud had gone 21 games without scoring. Then he registered a goal and an assist at Manchester City, and the Frenchman ended his season in style with a hat trick in Arsenal's 4-0 drubbing of Aston Villa. In what was an immensely frustrating campaign, Giroud still recorded his highest goal total across all competitions with 24. Imagine what he could've done without a Premier League goal drought that stretched from January through May.
6. Paulo Dybala (Juventus)
Dybala cemented his status as the heartbeat of Juventus' attack in the Serie A champions' 5-0 demolition of Sampdoria on Saturday. The 22-year-old scored twice and added an assist, leaving him with 19 goals and nine assists in 34 appearances in his first season in Turin. Should Dybala continue on this trajectory, Juve could be well on their way to a sixth straight Scudetto in 2016-17.
7. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Despite scoring twice in Real Madrid's 2-0 defeat of Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday, and hitting the woodwork twice more for good measure, Ronaldo still ended the campaign five goals shy of Suarez's 40-goal tally in the Pichichi race. Perhaps the Portuguese can take solace in the fact that he still managed to outscore his great rival Messi by a score of 35-26.
8. Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)
When Benfica needed a victory to assure them of back-to-back-to-back league titles, Gaitan stepped up with a double en route to the Aguias' 4-1 win over Nacional de Madeira on Sunday. That outburst doubled the 28-year-old's league goals total in all of 2015-16, spread across 25 appearances.
9. Aritz Aduriz (Athletic Club)
While Athletic were already assured of a place in next season's Europa League, they sat on the outside looking in at Spain's top five. A brace from Aduriz in the Basque side's season-ending 3-1 win over Sevilla, who fielded a heavily rotated side ahead of their Europa League final vs. Liverpool on Wednesday, saw Athletic leapfrog Celta Vigo for fifth place in La Liga.
10. Andre Schurrle (Wolfsburg)
Schurrle didn't score his first Bundesliga goal of 2015-16 until Jan. 24. He grabbed two more in Wolfsburg's 3-1 win over relegated Stuttgart on Saturday, bringing his season total up to nine, all scored in the span of 13 appearances. The German international's late charge may not be enough to save his Wolfsburg future, however.
