Perth Glory defender Shane Lowry says that his team will focus on keeping their feet squarely on the ground as they prepare for a season-defining road trip.
The Glory have rocketed up to fifth on the ladder after snaring seven wins from their past eight games.
But the team will need to weave their magic away from home if they are to put themselves in a position where they can genuinely challenge for the title.
After Sunday's match against Wellington in New Zealand, the Glory travel to Newcastle to take on the Jets.
A home game against Melbourne City shapes as a critical fixture in the battle for fourth spot, before the Glory round out the season with a match against the Sky Blues in Sydney.
With three of the four games away from home, Lowry said the team weren't getting caught up in the growing hype surrounding the club.
"I don't think the group will allow it," Lowry said on Tuesday.
"Lads have been in this position before in different leagues around the world. We're not going to get complacent.
"Yes, we've been doing well recently ... but we're keeping our feet on the ground.
"A lot of people, especially in the media, will be writing about us now. Inside the group, we've got to keep level-headed."
Lowry said the fierce competition for spots within the side was a good way to keep everyone on their toes.
The Glory have scored 25 goals over the past eight rounds, making them one of the most-dangerous attacking teams in the league.
But Lowry has been most pleased with the team's ability to keep clean sheets against Central Coast and Newcastle over the past fortnight.
The transfer-window arrivals of Lowry, Andy Keogh and Krisztian Vadocz have played key roles in the Glory's resurgence, while star import Diego Castro is a strong contender to be named A-League player of the year.
