Rennes striker Paul-Georges Ntep has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a shin problem.
The 23-year-old has made just 14 appearances during an injury-plagued campaign and the twice-capped France international now faces a race against time to be fit for Euro 2016.
"The operation took place on Tuesday and the Rennes striker will have to wait a few days before leaving the hospital," a club statement read on staderennais.com.
"A rehabilitation program will be established by the medical staff of Stade Rennais FC.
"Paul-Georges will remain sidelined until the end of the season."
