Transfer Rater: Alexis Sanchez to Chelsea, Dele Alli to PSG

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest rumours...

Demarai Gray to Everton

The Daily Mirror claim Everton are back in for Leicester City winger Gray following the anterior cruciate ligament injury to £29 million summer signing Yannick Bolasie. Before the former Birmingham attacker joined Leicester in January 2016, Everton attempted to lure him to Goodison Park but failed. The Foxes then reportedly turned down the Toffees' advances in the summer as Everton searched for a pacey wide player before settling on the now injured Bolasie.

Feder Smolov to Stoke City

FC Krasnodar striker Smolov has revealed Stoke City are among the clubs interested in signing him. The striker has scored 14 goals in 17 appearances so far this season and a whole host of clubs have been keeping an eye on the 26-year-old. In a recent Interview, Smolov was quoted as saying: "It seems there are clubs interested in Europe. Stoke City, and [clubs in] Germany. From the latter there is even an offer to move this winter. I need to think."

Alexis Sanchez to Chelsea

Antonio Conte is set to rekindle his interest in Arsenal's Sanchez, a player he's been keen on since his days as manager of Juventus. Reports claim talks between the player's representatives and Arsenal have stalled with the club failing to meet the demands of the player. Their reluctance to break their wage structure to keep him may see him end up at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea having no issue meeting his wage demands.

Dele Alli to PSG

The Daily Mirror report Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing 20-year-old midfielder Alli. It's been a whirlwind 18 months for the midfielder as he went from playing for MK Dons in League One to being a key figure in the Spurs' title challenge. Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on Alli as they look to continue their relationship with Spurs which has seen them sign both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. Due to the interest from Madrid, PSG are trying to force a move through sooner rather than later and are reportedly prepared to offer £50m to secure his services.

Jonas Hector to Liverpool

Liverpool are set to reignite their interest in Cologne's Hector. The Reds were linked with the versatile left-back, who can also play midfield, throughout the summer and it looked certain Hector would be on the move after his club signed two new left-backs. James Milner is the current incumbent of the left-back role but the centre-midfielder's limitations in that position show up from time to time and there are question marks over his long-term reliability.
