Chelsea and Bayern monitor Dier
Eric Dier has endured a tough season after being displaced by Victor Wanyama at Tottenham, which has alerted Chelsea and Bayern Munich to his possible availability, according to The Times.
The 22-year-old is concerned that his lack of game time will hamper his chances of becoming an integral part in the formative stages of Gareth Southgate's time with England.

Dier was one of the only shining lights in the Three Lions' Euro 2016 campaign and has the added versatility of being able to fill in at centre-back or full-back.
With Europe's biggest clubs prepared to offer him a starring role, it is thought he will consider his future should his situation at White Hart Lane not change.
Mourinho to axe £50 million duo, needs more windows
Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin will be ruthlessly cast aside in January by Jose Mourinho, with the Mail revealing that the pair are free to leave Old Trafford, and Everton are in the running for both players.
Moves to the Toffees could see Schneiderlin link up with Ronald Koeman once more, after their time together at Southampton, while the Dutch coach is also familiar with Depay following his time in the Eredivisie.
It marks a disastrous 18 months for the players, who cost £25 million each in the summer of 2015, but Mourinho has seen enough by now to verify their departures.
Once United have discarded the duo, Mourinho should be a step closer to having the squad he wants, which will take another two transfer windows, senior officials have told the BBC.
The length of time is linked to the need to shed the big-earners, such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, off the wage bill, which is currently proving to be difficult.
Juventus ready to pay N'Zonzi's buyout
Juventus will part with €30m to bring Sevilla's midfield powerhouse Steven N'Zonzi to Turin, with Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport reporting the player's buyout clause will be met in January.
The former Stoke and Blackburn centre-midfielder has flourished under Jorge Sampaoli in La Liga, featuring 21 times already for the Argentinian coach.
An initial €15m will be immediately submitted and a second identical payment will arrive by next summer with Massimiliano Allegri convinced after witnessing the 28-year-old's performances up close in their Champions League group stage games.
Everton keen to tie up Lookman deal
Charlton's super talent Ademola Lookman is set to join Everton in an £11m deal, reports the Independent.
Chased by the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Celtic, signing the 19-year-old would represent a major coup for Ronald Koeman.
An initial fee of £8m is set to be agreed, with a further £3m in bonuses, though a deal is not over the line due to the Addicks' demand to have the player loaned back to them for the second half of the season.
Tap-ins
- Napoli will strengthen in January by moving for Genoa's Leonardo Pavoletti, who will cost around €15m, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The 28-year-old, who was called up for Giampiero Ventura's most recent Italy squad, has only three goals this term for the Grifone, but struck 14 last year and will sign a contract until 2021 to boost Maurizio Sarri's attack.
- A Major League Soccer source has confirmed to ESPN FC that expansion club Atlanta United is on the verge of signing Paraguay international and Racing Club midfielder Oscar Romero to a Designated Player contract, with a transfer fee in the $6-7 million range.
- More transfer news with the Partenopei, who are adamant that starting right-back Elseid Hysaj is not for sale with Inter and Chinese side Jiangsu Suning registering interest.
An offer of €40m could arrive from Jiangsu, who have proved their intent before by signing Ramires and Alex Teixeira, but Aurelio De Laurentiis has taken the player off the market.
