Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest rumours.
Gylfi Sigurdsson to Roma
The Daily Express is reporting that Serie A clubs Roma and Inter Milan are interested in bringing Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson to Italy in January. Sigurdsson, who was courted by both Leicester City and Everton in the summer, signed an extension last January and his performances this season have been key to Swansea keeping afloat in the Premier League. The Iceland midfielder has five goals, five assists and he's scored against Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea as well as grabbing an assist against Manchester United. He's a big-game player and losing him would be detrimental to Swansea's bid to avoid relegation.
Ademola Lookman to Everton
Reports broke last week linking Charlton forward Ademola Lookman with a move to Everton. The 19-year-old has interested the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea in the past but Everton are keen to get the deal done in January and have reportedly offered £8 million plus £3m in add-ons. However, the Daily Mail has claimed the deal has hit a stumbling block due to the fact Charlton want the player back on loan but Everton don't want to include that as part of the deal.
Virgil van Dijk to Manchester City
Manchester City feel their long search for a centre-back has come to an end with Virgil van Dijk being their man. The Southampton defender has impressed since arriving in England and it's this fine form which means Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and City are all taking a closer look at the 25-year-old. Southampton value the centre-back at close to £50m, a fee which City shouldn't have a problem paying.
Wilfried Zaha to Tottenham
Spurs are set to reignite their interest in Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha. The 24-year-old was reportedly a subject of a £20m bid in the summer but Palace refused to lose Zaha and Bolasie in the same window. However, after a poor showing in the first half of the season, Spurs are once again going to test the resolve of Palace putting in a fresh £25m offer. Squawka claims Zaha tops Mauricio Pochettino's wishlist.
Bojan Krkic to Valencia
Valencia hope to take advantage of Bojan's lack of first-team opportunities at Stoke City to sign the former Barcelona man in January. Sky Sports sources claim the attacker is frustrated by the lack of playing time and is open to a move if they can guarantee playing minute. Is a return to Spain on the cards?
