Newly promoted Metz have completed the signing free agent midfielder Yann Jouffre.
The experienced 31-year-old, who can operate anywhere across the middle of the park, left Lorient in the summer after eight years and 202 top-flight appearances for Les Merlus.
Jouffre has signed a two-year deal at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz announced on their official website.

The midfielder made his professional debut for Nîmes Olympique in 2002 before eventually transferring to Guingamp a year later, where he played for a further five years before switching to Lorient.
Metz's first game of the new season is at home to Lille on Aug. 13.
