Champions League qualifying draw: Celtic face trip to Lincoln Red Imps

Former European Cup winners Celtic and Red Star Belgrade are the two big names in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, with the full line-up confirmed on Wednesday.

Celtic travel to the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar to play Lincoln Red Imps FC, after the semiprofessional club beat Flora Tallinn in the first qualifying round. Lincoln lost the first leg 2-1 in Estonia, but turned it around on home turf in the return as a Joseph Chipolina penalty and a late Antonio Calderon Vallejo goal won the tie 3-2 on aggregate.

Red Star take on Malta's Valletta after they overcame B36 Torshavn of the Faroe Islands.

Welsh side The New Saints ousted Tre Penne of San Marino and now take on APOEL, with Northern Ireland's Crusaders facing FC Copenhagen.

Recent group stage participants entering at the second qualifying round include Ludogorets Razgrad, BATE Borisov, Rosenborg, FC Copenhagen, Astana and APOEL.

Albanian champions Skenderbeu were due to take on Ferencvaros but were banned from Europe due to match-fixing. Runners-up Partizani take their place and move up from the Europa League, meaning Slovan Bratislava proceed directly to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round.

Ties are to be played on July 12 or 13 and 19 or 20.
