Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is in talks with Fenerbahce over a move, the Turkish club have confirmed.
A Liverpool source has told ESPN FC that a fee of around £5 million has been agreed and that Skrtel has been given permission to speak to Fenerbahce.
The 31-year-old has been at Anfield for the past eight seasons but struggled with form and injuries in the last campaign.
The competition in defence has increased at Liverpool with Joel Matip arriving on a free transfer from Bundesliga side Schalke and promising youngster Joe Gomez close to returning from injury.
A source close to Skrtel told ESPN FC in April that he was considering his future after finding his playing time limited.
The centre-back's agent, Karol Csonto, had also confirmed that he was likely to depart Merseyside this summer.
Skrtel was part of the Slovakia's squad at Euro 2016 as they reached the round of 16 before being eliminated by Germany.
