The Montreal Impact have signed striker Matteo Mancosu on a year-long loan from Bologna.
Mancosu spent the second half of last season on loan at Carpi and after their relegation the 31-year-old was left looking for a new top-flight club.
He played in 23 games for both clubs combined in all competitions last year, scoring twice in Serie A and once in the Coppa Italia.
Mancosu will have stiff competition to get into the Impact team, which also features forwards Didier Drogba, Dominic Oduro, Michael Salazar, Anthony Jackson-Hamel and Cameron Porter.
"We are happy to add another experienced striker to our roster," Impact technical director Adam Braz said in a statement.
"He is someone who will complement our other attacking players and provide another attacking option for the second half of the season and beyond."
