AC Milan have signed Fiorentina playmaker Mati Fernandez on loan with an option to buy.
The 30-year-old Argentina-born Chile international joined the Viola from Sporting Lisbon in 2012 and has scored seven goals in 122 appearances for the Florence club.
However, he is now being allowed to move on, with Milan confirming the transfer late on Wednesday.
"Mati Fernandez has today officially been registered as an AC Milan player, on loan with option to buy,'' a statement on the club's official website said.
There was another a departure from the club as goalkeeper Diego Lopez moved to Espanyol on a season-long loan.
