Gheorghe Hagi's son Ianis has said he has settled in well at Fiorentina and hopes to make his Serie A debut soon.
Hagi, 17, has already played a handful of games for the youth team since joining from from FC Viitorul in the summer for a fee reported to be in the region of €2 million.
"Everything's beautiful at Fiorentina and I've settled in well, thanks in particular to the help of my teammate Tatarusanu, who is helping me in the process of acclimatising myself," he was reported as saying by Violanews.com.
"Everything is going well and I can't wait to play in the first team.
"I'm learning how to play quicker because the Italian league is different to the Romanian one. It's more aggressive and more technical, and I'm just waiting for my opportunity.
"I want to be ready when [coach Paulo] Sousa decides to put his faith in me."
Hagi is currently on international duty with Romania's under-19 side, for whom he is set to make his debut in this week's European Under-19 Championship qualifying round matches.
