Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya has been given the all-clear to return to full training, less than three months after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
Atletico confirmed on their official website that the 32-year-old is available for selection after recovering from the procedure that took place on Aug. 11.
Moya was the club's first-choice goalkeeper in the 2014-15 campaign but an injury late in the season saw him lose his place to Jan Oblak. He spent last season as the second-choice keeper and has not played since starting the 3-2 Copa del Rey defeat to Celta Vigo in January.
Atletico, the only side to have won all four group games in the Champions League this season, resumed training on Wednesday following a 2-1 home triumph over Rostov that ensured last season's runners-up a place in the round of 16 with two games to spare.
The Rojiblancos travel to Real Sociedad on Saturday and Diego Simeone, who was this week nominated for the FIFA coach of the year award, will be without Montenegro defender Stefan Savic for the game in San Sebastian.
Savic was sent off after receiving a second yellow card during the 4-2 win over Malaga, a result that lifted Atletico to third in La Liga, three points adrift of leaders Real Madrid.
Simeone will have midfielder Koke available for selection after the Spain international missed the last league game through suspension.
One player expected to feature on Saturday is Brazilian defender Filipe Luis. The 31-year-old is the only player to have completed all 14 games -- 10 in La Liga and four in the Champions League -- for Atletico this season, which adds up to 1,260 minutes on the pitch. No Real Madrid, Barcelona or Sevilla player has achieved that feat.
