Real Madrid unveil new third kit with new signing Alex Hunter

Having gone with a largely predictable combinations of white home kit and black away for the 2018-19 season, Real Madrid have opted for something a little more adventurous with their corresponding third strip.

Unveiled worldwide on Monday, the alternative shirt is coral in color and made from recycled plastics collected from the ocean. Manufacturers Adidas have allied with the "Parley For The Ocean" project, the long-term goal of which is to clear the world's seas of plastic debris by recycling it into football kits, among other useful things.

The new Real jersey was revealed at an exclusive launch event in New York that saw the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema appear alongside Alex Hunter, the fictional FIFA 19 player and central star of the EA Sports' The Journey: Champions series.

Having already conquered the Premier League and MLS, Hunter has just sealed a move to the Bernabeu in a bid to chase both La Liga and Champions League glory, all while wearing his newly revealed third kit. So there you go.

As for the actual, real-life version, Real will wear their new uniform for the first time when they play Roma in the International Champions Cup in New Jersey on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Good for the environment and easy on the eye? A winning combination, to say the least.
