ATLANTA -- Atlanta United has added valuable experience for its 2017 inaugural season by signing free-agent midfielder Jeff Larentowicz, a 12-year MLS veteran.
Larentowicz has played in 324 games for four teams. He won the MLS Cup with Colorado in 2010.
Atlanta United president Darren Eales said Larentowicz will help the expansion team fill its need for players with MLS experience to mix with young talent.
The 33-year-old Larentowicz ranks No. 11 all time in minutes played among field players. He played with New England from 2005-09 before making stops with Colorado, Chicago and Los Angeles.
He has played in 22 career MLS Cup playoff matches.
Terms of the deal were not released.
